Prenatal Yoga

Prenatal Yoga and Support Classes are based on the Whole Birth method. These classes provide a unique space for pregnant women to learn movements and yoga asanas to relieve many of the common discomforts associated with pregnancy. Through experience they can develop a sense of trust in the wisdom of their body for pregnancy and birth. Using challenging poses, we practice effective pain management and stress reduction skills.  With consistency, expectant mothers make supportive connections with other pregnant women and discover resources in the birth community.  With a focus on mindfulness practice, women are encouraged to acknowledge the challenges and celebrate the joys of pregnancy, to fully experience the rite of passage into motherhood. Classes are suitable for all stages of pregnancy.

Thank you so much for all of your great yoga and mama wisdom throughout. Yoga and you - the whole community - was such a source of grounding and connectedness throughout the whole pregnancy and during the birth.

I have Prem to thank for preparing me mentally and physically. And thank you to the moms in prenatal yoga class for your stories, strength, and communal support. Without your teaching about how to stay on top and how to let go during birth I wouldn't have been able to manage it the way I did.

The tools Igathered in class helped me get through labor with focus and intention that I know I wouldn’t have had otherwise.

The relaxation techniques we did in class were beyond helpful. Sometimes between contractions I would be able to slip into the deepest relaxation…it was almost pleasureable, as crazy as that probably sounds.

The other lesson from class that I clung to was moving toward the pain and not away from it. When I energetically and emotionally surrendered to the pain, I felt capable.

Mom and Baby Yoga

Postnatal Yoga is a safe and supportive place for women to return to their bodies after birth and begin to integrate the profound life changes. New mamas should allow as much time as neeed to heal and recover from the birth and then come [back] to Yoga with their little one to connect with other new moms and start to stretch and strengthen your body. We cultivate a welcoming and gentle atmosphere for you to learn to take care of yourself and your baby with breath and moment to moment awareness.

This class is open to moms and their not-too-mobile babies

and no experience is required.

I can't thank you enough for the communal support, mental and physical preparation, and amazing insights from your own experience that I gained from your class.

just wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your teaching style and the way you put your classes together.  I also appreciate very much the respect and attention you give your students.  I always feel very calm and safe and taken care of in your classes.  I wish I could take more regularly!
